We have resumed our worship service!
It has been a while since we've met together as a church family. We have worked to make sure the sanctuary is as safe as it can be, and that our practices meet the necessary requirements to maintain proper distancing.
The following are the necessary measures we are taking:
Access to and from the sanctuary will be through the two sanctuary doors on Wellington Street. There will be no access to the building through the glass door off the parking lot, except for people needing use of the elevator.
Most of the building will be closed to traffic for the time being. That includes the Nursery, Toddlers and Sunday School areas.
Upon entering the sanctuary, please use the hand sanitizer provided. For tracking purposes, ushers will record your name and then help you find a seat. Please wait and maintain proper distancing if others near you are finding a place to sit. Please note: no handshaking or physical contact!
Social distancing will be rigorously followed. Families can sit together, but otherwise, people must sit 6 feet apart.
Alternate rows of pews will be blocked off.
Masks will be mandatory. For the safety of all gathered in the sanctuary there will be no exceptions to this rule. Rev. Mike will not be wearing a mask while preaching, as a sufficient area has been cordoned off in front of the pulpit.
There will be no congregational singing, at least for the immediate future.
No choir or praise band will sing for the foreseeable future but Adam Shaw will provide music during the service.
No coffee hour or visiting before and after the service.
Ushers will help with orderly exit from the sanctuary after the service.
No offering will be taken during the service; however, a collection plate will be placed at each entrance for you to leave your offering if you so wish. (See below for the ways in which we continue accepting your offering during the pandemic.)
No use of Bibles, hymn books or bulletins for the foreseeable future.
You are asked to stay home if you are feeling unwell or have traveled and met people outside your social circle.
The sanctuary and bathroom will be disinfected after every worship service. We ask that you use the bathroom only if absolutely necessary. You will have access to the bathroom off the meeting room only.
