At the moment, we are working on rebuilding our Sunday School following three years of lockdown during the Covid pandemic. Most of our interactions with our youth were online for several years, but we are delighted to have started up our programs on Sunday mornings! We truly believe know that we need to come together as believers to grow in our faith, and our children are no exception.
Should you come as a family to FPC, your children will be welcome to participate in church life, and they wlll have staff and volunteers on hand to lead them in fun classes that teach them about the love of Jesus Christ.
Our church is blessed with a willing and hard-working set of volunteers who teach our children in Sunday School. Teams of teachers lead in Sunday School on rotation. That allows our Sunday School teachers time to be in worship on Sunday mornings.
Allison Shaw, our Christian Education coordinator, meets with our teachers every month. Those meetings are dedicated to previewing the material our volunteers will teach on a particular Sunday. This is how we ensure that classes are well planned, and taught with enthusiasm.
Each month has a particular topic and scripture stories assigned to it. We usually run three Sundays per topic with a “Movie Sunday” to finish off the month.
