This is Rev. Mike’s Advent message series starting Sunday, December 3:
Emmanuel: The prophet Isaiah spoke of the coming Messiah as Emmanuel, which translates to “God with Us.” Jesus himself spoke of the Kingdom of God being in our midst, and even, within us. This is no mere abstraction or hopeful philosophy, but describes the reality of God manifested in person in the world and in our lives. How do we respond to what the Christmas Season celebrates? Join us as we examine some of the key players at the time of Christ’s birth to see how they responded to the events unfolding in their midst. It is our prayer at FPC that we would learn from them the “reason for the season.”
